On June 11, 2022, the “2022 Academic Annual Meeting of China Business Accounting Institute”, sponsored by China Business Accounting Institute and organized by School of Accounting, Chongqing Technology and Business University (CTBU), was successfully held in the first conference room of library of CTBU’s Nan’an Campus. With the theme of “Financial Accounting Reform, Development and Innovation under the Background of High-quality Economic Development”, the annual meeting was held in an “online + offline” form to conduct academic discussion on a series of important theoretical and practical issues such as how to grasp the opportunities in new development stage and implement the new development concept of financial accounting research and practice, promote integration and reform, achieve quality improvement and efficiency improvement, and promote high-quality development under the new development pattern. Professor SUN Fangcheng, President of CTBU, and Professor LI Jing, Vice President of CTBU, attended the opening ceremony of this academic annual meeting, and Professor LUO Yong, Dean of School of Accounting, presided over this annual meeting.

Vice President LI Jing delivered a speech at the opening ceremony as a representative of Chongqing Technology and Business University. First of all, he expressed warm congratulations on the grand opening of this academic annual meeting, extended a warm welcome to leading experts attending this meeting no matter in online and offline forms, and expressed sincere thanks to all colleagues for their long-standing concern and support on the development of the school. In addition, he proposed that through the academic exchange of this meeting, the economic thought of General Secretary XI can be further studied and implemented, the research, application and innovation of financial accounting theory and practice can be effectively promoted. And at last, he called for practical actions and outstanding achievements to greet the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

Professor XIE Zhihua, President of China Business Accounting Institute, former Vice President and Doctoral Tutor of Beijing Technology and Business University, expressed his gratitude to CTBU for its strong support and meticulous preparation for the successful convening of this academic annual meeting on behalf of China Business Accounting Institute, and encouraged that experts and scholars should take this academic annual meeting as an opportunity to make suggestions and provide strong support for accounting academic research and discussion to promote the high-quality development of China’s economy.

After the opening ceremony, Professor XIE Zhihua, former Vice-President and Doctoral Tutor of Beijing Technology and Business University, Professor ZHOU Shouhua, Editor-in-Chief of Accounting Research and Doctoral Tutor, Professor ZHANG Xinmin, former Vice-President and Doctoral Tutor of University of International Business and Economics(UIBE), Professor ZHU Yuanwu, Chief Professor and Doctoral Tutor of Accounting and Finance Institute, Nanjing University, Professor ZHANG Junmin, Doctoral Tutor of School of Accounting of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, and Professor LUO Yong, Dean of School of Accounting, Chongqing Technology and Business University, Senior Accountant GU Changren, Chief Accountant of Chongqing Changjiang Electrical Appliances Industries Group Co., Ltd., made academic reports on the topics of “Integration of New Technology and Industry and Finance”, “Accounting Development and Social Progress”, “Analysis of Enterprise Strategy”, “Financial Structure and Competitiveness”, “Analysis and Transformation of Philosophical Thoughts of Accounting Development”, “Dialectical Views on Integration of Industry and Finance”, “Construction of New Liberal Arts and Reform of Accounting Talents Training in Colleges and Universities”, “Giving Full Play to the Role of Financial Management to Promote Enterprises Develop with High Quality”. Moreover, the guests at the meeting also exchanged group reports on six parallel forums, namely, digital economy and corporate finance, enterprise innovation and accounting transformation, economic development and audit governance, green development and accounting reform, capital market and corporate governance, high-quality development as well as accounting education.

It is reported that a total of 168 high-quality academic papers were collected at the 2022 Academic Annual Meeting, and 20 of them were selected as award-winning papers. Participants and guests of this academic meeting include experts and scholars from 65 domestic universities including Renmin University of China, Nanjing University, Sichuan University, Nankai University, Hunan University, Northwest University, Nanjing Agricultural University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, University of International Business and Economics, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Capital University of Economics and Business, Beijing Technology and Business University, Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, Anhui University of Finance and Economics and Henan University of Engineering, etc., 8 academic journals such as Accounting Research, Foreign Economics & Management , East China Economic Management, West Forum, Finance & Accounting, Communication of Finance and Accounting, Friends of Accounting and Commercial Accounting, as well as experts and scholars from large enterprise groups such as Chongqing Changjiang Electrical Appliances Industries Group Co., Ltd., together with nearly 1,000 faculty and staff and students of CTBU, attended this academic annual meeting in online and offline form.
