Recently, the 2023 "Discover Chongqing, Study in CTBU" Chinese Cultural Exchange Program held by the International School ended without a hitch. The two-week program attracted nearly 50 teachers and students from the Prince Royal's College and the Samakkhi Witthayakhom School in Thailand.
Focusing on "Chinese language+culture+practice", this project has designed a series of Chinese courses with unique regional characteristics of living in Chongqing. Students learned Chinese in class and experienced the intangible cultural heritage of Rongchang folding fan making, hand-painted Chinese ink and washing painting, practicing Chinese martial arts, visiting the national treasure giant pandas, etc., out of class. The set of diverse courses and colorful activities were highly praised by Thai teachers and students.
At the closing ceremony, everyone reviewed the highlights of the project through video. The campers were divided into groups to report on the learning results after the two weeks and expressed their love for the project and their gratitude to the school. The teachers in the International School awarded certificates to the students, encouraging them to continue Chinese learning, to share what they have learned, seen, and heard in China with their relatives and friends, and invited the students to study at Chongqing Technology and Business University.
